From paddle tennis courts to Pakistan’s first unified helpline, Kiki Khan is shaping tech with heart, intelligence, and unapologetic independence.
There’s no dramatic origin story behind Kiki Khan’s startup journey—no incubator pitches or overnight funding miracles. Just a black coffee on the rocks, a quiet clarity of purpose, and an unshakable belief that tech should make life simpler, safer, and more human.
Despite extremely young, Kiki is the founder of Backbone Technologies, a lean tech venture that’s been quietly powering some of Pakistan’s most important digital infrastructures. Her flagship product, KeyConnect, is more than just call center software—it’s an AI-enabled omnichannel CRM tool that stitched together the country’s first national 911 emergency helpline.
“At its core, KeyConnect isn’t about tech—it’s about response. It’s about accountability. And that matters, especially in a country like Pakistan where systems haven’t always worked for people,” she explains.

Kiki’s decision to partner with Mysentry—a workplace safety platform focused on combating harassment—stems from the same people-first philosophy. “We’re not just building dashboards. We’re enabling workplaces to be safer, especially for women,” she says, a mission that resonates with many but is rarely acted on with such conviction.
Though Kiki comes from a family with a strong business pedigree, she chose a path of her own—less predictable, more personal. “Legacy is inherited. Vision, you build,” she says simply.
Her life outside of work is surprisingly grounded. Between meetings and product updates, you’ll find her on a paddle tennis court, unwinding in the same strategic rhythm she brings to tech: fast, agile, with a clear eye on the long game.
There’s no bravado in her tone, no Silicon Valley hype. Just sharp insight, quiet resilience, and a way of building that feels refreshingly… human.
